Professor Gurprit S. Lall BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, SFHEA, FRSB
Professor of Neuroscience and Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic Director
Professor Lall is an expert in sleep and circadian rhythms neurobiology with a specific interest in the neural basis of sleep regulation and the physiological effects of light on sleep wake cycles and hormonal rhythms. His interests focus on the impact of neurological disorders on sleep regulation. He is the Director of the Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic and part of the Schools of Psychology and Medicine with research links to Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust and Kings College London. Professor Lall further supports consultations to help individuals with sleep health and wellbeing.

Dr Aiste Steponenaite
Bsc (Hons), PGCHE, PhD
Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic Co-Lead
Dr Steponenaite is a Sleep & Circadian Neuroscience researcher specialising in sleep health and the ageing of our 24-hour (circadian) body clock. Her work spans from fundamental molecular research to human studies, with a focus on sleep and circadian rhythm disruptions in neurodegenerative diseases. At the Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic, she provides consultations and assessments to help individuals understand and improve their sleep. Passionate about translating research into real-world benefits, Dr Steponenaite combines scientific insight with practical strategies to support better sleep and overall wellbeing.

Dr Media Zanganeh Mpharm PhD
Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic Co-Lead
Dr Media Zanganeh is a translational biomarker researcher dedicated to bridging laboratory science and clinical practice. Her PhD focused on developing a diagnostic tool for prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE), leading to broader work on biomarkers for neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. This work supports efforts toward early detection and the identification of novel therapeutic targets. At the Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic, Dr Zanganeh provides personalised consultations and assessments. She is committed to translating research into meaningful, evidence-based strategies that improve individuals’ sleep, health, and overall quality of life.

Aadesh Dave
MPharm, PGDip, PGCHE, FHEA
Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic Co-Lead
Aadesh is working with the Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic to support individual sleep health through providing personalised consultations and assessments, alongside his ongoing research. In addition to his role, Aadesh is completing a PhD looking at the impact of light on sleep and circadian disturbances. This research informs his understanding of current sleep research and developments within this field. He is committed to translating research into evidence-based strategies that improve individuals’ sleep health.

Robert Edwards
BSc, MSc
Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic
Robert has studied sport science before undertaking a postgraduate masters in strength and conditioning, spending time working with elite athletes for several years. His focus was on recovery and elite performance, which meant studying sleep, recovery methods and exercise, which has led to his interest and introduction to his role. Since joining the Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic, Robert is working to support individual sleep health and wellbeing alongside ongoing sleep research.

Uchechukwu Ani

Sleep & Wellbeing Clinic
Uche is a highly experienced senior respiratory and sleep physiologist with over ten years of dedicated service within the NHS. He is currently pursuing a PhD, focusing on sleep-disordered breathing. Uche combines his practical knowledge with research to advance patient care and clinical outcomes in respiratory and sleep medicine.
